IKANO Communications Inc. is an IP applications solutions company specializing in wholesale, retail, and private label ISP services. Through numerous strategic acquisitions, IKANO has been able to expand its retail brand platform.
IKANO has closed many small to mid-sized acquisitions since inception and understands how to assimilate cultures and operations to achieve projected synergies and increase shareholder value.
By leveraging shared IP services, we create synergies that make sense for both parties. For example, we have great relationships with numerous Telco companies and have been able to negotiate lower costs for our combined infrastructure. IKANO can also assist with accounting functions to eliminate the financial management burden for our strategic acquisitions. IKANO operates two call center facilities and prides itself on keeping our level of customer service high. Overall, we are committed to excellence and growth and see acquisitions as a positive way to add to our business and hope to provide great value and increased efficiencies to yours. We are constantly looking to expand our existing platform.
IKANO is a venture-backed company with Insight Venture Partners (NYC), a specialty venture firm specializing in Internet and software companies. IKANO was founded in 1999.

areas of specialty.
Retail
Many of IKANO’s largest retail brands were acquired – including DSL Extreme, ISP.com (part of Dialup USA), Auracom/Interhop (Canada), Amerion and Ohio Hills. SISNA was IKANO’s predecessor entity and the original flagship brand. Other retail brands, were successfully home grown on a virtual basis by IKANO. DSL Extreme is the Company’s largest retail brand, with a combination of consumer and business DSL subscribers. DSL Extreme also offers web hosting and hosted Microsoft Exchange mailboxes.
Wholesale
IKANO has approximately 1,000+ wholesale customers.
The Company’s typical wholesale customer is a smaller, regional dialup ISP wishing to leverage IKANO’s lower cost, aggregated telco network. IKANO’s wholesale end user count has grown since the Dialup USA acquisition.
Private Label
The private label segment is IKANO’s “original” business, providing branded dialup
access, related IP services and branded billing and call center support to partners
and their end users. IKANO provides private label services for a large satellite
provider. Future growth is also expected from the upcoming launch of private
label DSL services.
Private label contracts are typically multi-year agreements, with auto-renewal annually or month-to-month thereafter.
